If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you.
If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.
And in His words...
Live in me, let me live in you.

So where does the first quote come from? I admit not recognizing it. And for me that is strange. I know Christ said something like "whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven" and vice versa and also he said, "Whoever will save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake and the gospel will save it."
This is a quote taken from the Gospel of St. Thomas. While many in the Christian faith do not recognize this Gospel, it contains some of Christ's most prolific wisdom.
*raises hand* yeah, I've never read the book. Something about it having been rejected in antiquity from being included in the gospels. How many other "gospels" are out there, I wonder?
Open your eyes a bit to this one. It doesn't refute the other Gospels, but give greater meaning to Jesus' Teachings.
There are many Gospels. Said to be one for every apostle and one for Mary Magdalene. Each of these persons had intimate encounters with Jesus and each had their own perspective from His teaching. The Church however, only recognizes the 4 they like the best.
